Hate to say it but I told me so.
Brian Griese's lack of arm strength and quick decision making was on display for all of us to see. He is a very good back up but that's it.
There are 2 ways to turn it over - 3 and out or throw a pick/fumble. Griese may not be as turn over prone as Rex but what is the difference between a 3 and out and a punt than getting picked off down field?
Lovie has known all along that Rex was the better of the 3 QB's. He can't look at Griese and think there's a hope in hell he'll be able to win many if any, games.
Time to put Rex back in, spread the defense 5 wide, use Wolf, Hester, Berrian, Bradley, and Olsen to mix up and confuse the defense. If the line isn't blocking so what? The underneath stuff makes for a long day and will set up a pick like it did in the Detroit game.
